our ministries

bringing the gospel to people locally and globally
  • Worship Arts

The worship arts ministry at Global River Church is a family of artists. Though these artists vary widely in medium, style, age, and ethnicity we share a common mission. This threefold mission centers around intimacy, celebration and God’s presence.

  • Local Missions

Our local missions initiative is designed to fulfill our mandate to pastor a region and transform the culture of cities and regions. Our goal is Revival!

  • House Of Mercy / Food Pantry

For over 15 years, the House of Mercy has been assisting hurting families within Wilmington and the surrounding area. Growing out of the heart cry to love a city, this powerful expression of G.R.C. serves nearly 80 families per week.

  • Breaking Free Prayer Ministry

A breaking free session usually takes 3-6 hours with two trained prayer ministers leading the process. You will be asked to forgive those who have hurt you and confess areas of sin from which you desire to be set free and healed (James 5:16). A time of preparation in advance is necessary. Whatever the stronghold, God’s Word promises freedom. Call the church office for more information.

  • Intercession Prayer

Zechariah 4:6 reads: “It is not by power or by might but by my spirit says the Lord.” We are a praying church. Join us in asking our Lord to release His presence into our lives. Every Wednesday from 9:00am – 10:30am , we have intercessory prayer gathering in the sanctuary. We meet every Sunday morning at 9:30am in the sanctuary prayer room.

Servant Leaders

Biblical Leadership

Biblical leadership is servant-oriented, prioritizing the needs of others and seeking to glorify God rather than self (Mat. 20:26-28). It is characterized by humility, integrity, and a willingness to submit to God’s authority (1 Pet. 5:6-7).

Biblical leaders are called to equip and empower others for ministry, rather than seeking power or control (Eph. 4:11-12). They lead by example, demonstrating a deepening faith, wisdom, and compassion, and pointing others to Jesus as the ultimate leader and example (1 Cor. 11:1).
